Company number: 16215472 (UK).
Registered office (company record): 85 Great Portland Street, Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 7LT.
Note: This address is provided for corporate identification only. For privacy queries, please contact us by email (see §15).
2) What data we collect
Contact data – name, email address, and the content of any messages you send us.
Usage & technical data – IP address, device and browser info, pages visited, time on page, and cookie identifiers (see §6 Cookies).
Marketing & communications – your preferences and interaction with our emails (opens, clicks).
We don’t collect or process payment details on this Site.
3) How we collect it
Directly from you – when you complete forms, sign up to our newsletter, or email us.
Automatically – via cookies and similar technologies when you browse our Site (see §6).
From services we use – for example, our email platform records that you opened or unsubscribed from a message.
4) Why we use your data (lawful bases)
We process personal data only when we have a lawful basis under the UK GDPR:
Consent – sending you marketing emails after you opt in; placing non-essential cookies (§6).
Contract – responding to enquiries and providing services you request.
Legitimate interests – running, securing, and improving our Site (balanced against your rights).
Legal obligation – complying with legal, tax, or regulatory requirements.
5) What we do with your data
Operate and improve the Site, answer enquiries, and provide requested services.
Send marketing emails where you’ve opted in; every email includes an Unsubscribe link.
Protect the Site from spam and abuse (e.g., bot detection).
Keep records necessary for compliance and accountability.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6) Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies to make the Site work, measure performance, and—if you consent—support analytics/marketing.
Your controls: Our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
Squarespace cookies: As our website platform, Squarespace may set necessary cookies (for core functionality and security) and, if you consent, analytics cookies that help us understand traffic and usage.
Third-party embeds: If we embed third-party content (e.g., video players), those services may set their own cookies. These are controlled by the providers’ policies and, where possible, by your choices in our banner.
7) Services that process data for us (processors)
We share data only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under contracts that protect your data:
Squarespace, Inc. – Website hosting, security, analytics, form storage, and email campaigns (including consent capture and unsubscribe).
Google reCAPTCHA v3 – Spam/bot prevention on forms and sign-ups (use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms).
If we add new providers in the future, we’ll update this section.
8) International transfers
Some providers are located outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are used (e.g., UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.
9) Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it:
enquiries: up to 12 months after our last interaction;
marketing list: until you unsubscribe or we see prolonged inactivity;
technical logs/analytics: retained for a limited period appropriate for security and reporting.
10) Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have rights to be informed, access, rectify, erase, restrict, data portability, object, and rights related to automated decision-making. To exercise these rights, email hello@mascotmedia.uk. We’ll respond within one month (or explain if we need more time).
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk • Tel 0303 123 1113 • Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
11) Marketing & unsubscribe
If you opt in to our newsletter, we’ll send occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails but we may still send essential service messages if you’re in contact with us about a request.
12) Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS, access controls, and platform safeguards provided by Squarespace. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or loss.
13) Children
Our Site isn’t intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, please email us and we’ll delete it.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
15) How to contact us
For questions or privacy requests, email hello@mascotmedia.uk.
